Off the beaten track in southern Iceland.
This photo has been already published once in my feed, but it was over a year ago and hence only some of you had a chance to see it. Obviously this is my current profile picture, but here you may see more details ;) Additionally, this one is in a different colour toning. I love the atmosphere of the photo. It truly captures the Icelandic mood.
It's simply cool to drive along the Icelandic roads and to admire such landscapes through your windscreen. Though the main fun is to stop by, walk around and breathe in this insanely fresh air.
The pic was taken 2 years ago, during cooperation with @lagooncarrental
Reynisdrangar – the famous basalt formations situated near Vik, Iceland. The legend says they're the trolls that were turned by the daylight into the rocks.
Have you had a chance to visit Iceland? I've been there two times so far, but could travel there every year. Iceland is simply enchanting...
Macaques at Jigokudani Monkey Park. Do you know these Japanese monkeys bathing in hot springs? These are the ones! During our visit to Jigokudani one of the monkeys got very curious, climbed at my boyfriend's backpack and started scratching his hair. Funny view ;)
When walking around Kyoto, we were lucky to see Geisha or Maiko - I can't tell the difference by the look. The encounter was really fascinating. We were not the only ones taking the photos – all Japanese tourist also immediately jumped to snap a picture ;) And personally, I looove the kimono! Look at these patterns and colours!
Yakushima Island, Japan. Have you seen Hayao Miyazaki's 'Priness Mononoke'? This forest was an inspiration. It has a really magical aura.
